Goals of the Food Service Program

  • Joe's Bistro @ Valley Collaborative High School

    Valley Collaborative houses an eat-in or takeout restaurant in which our students work. Joe's Bistro is a fully operational café that is open to the public and provides students with an opportunity to gain marketable experience in culinary arts and customer service.

    Experienced culinary staff supervises our students in the preparation, serving, sale, and cleanup involved in running a restaurant. Students are cross-trained in a variety of stations and have the opportunity to cater in the community in addition to serving patrons in our on-site café.

    Vivi's Kitchen @ Valley Collaborative Elementary School

    Valley Collaborative Elementary School breakfast/lunch program is available at no cost to all our students. Each meal is complete with juice or milk. Lunch is served with vegetables and fruit along witVivi Leighton h the main entree. 

    Our experienced chef also offers a culinary internship to our vocational high school students. They get the chance to learn basic cookery skills, cash register work, dishwashing and the daily operations of a real working kitchen. 

    We also offer an a la carte menu to the elementary school staff, to include wraps, sandwiches, soups, salads and more.
